There is only one visa in this category which is subclass 500. This visa lets a student pursue any full time education course in any registered education institution and lets you stay in Australia till the course is completed. It will also let you work part time for a specified number of hours in Australia.
Requirements for Subclass 500
The Australian government will check the authenticity and the intention of the student. The student has to furnish immigration history and substantiate the purpose of studying in Australia.
- Certificate of Enrolment- At the time of lodging of visa application, the student must provide the certificate of enrolment from a registered education institute
- English Language Requirement- At the time of Visa processing, the student might be asked to furnish evidence of English language skill
- Welfare Arrangements – If the student is under 18, then you must have adequate welfare arrangement
- Financial Requirement- The student has to furnish evidence of sufficient funds which will cover the course fee and their living expenses during their stay in Australia
- Health Insurance- The student must be covered under Overseas Student Health Cover from the day they enter Australia and the same should be maintained till their entire stay
Student Guardian Visa- Subclass 590
This is temporary visa which is granted to the guardian who can either be a parent, legal custodian or relative who is 21 years or older who can visit the student holding a subclass 500
