If you have the required skills and qualification, you can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through this program and let the Australian government know that you are interested to work in Australia. Your occupation should be on the Australian skilled occupation list. After submission, your EOI will be ranked based on points test. The points are scored based on few criteria of age, English language proficiency, experience of skilled employment, spouse factor etc.
2. Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)-
To apply under this category, first you should submit your EOI through skill select based on which you need to get an invitation from Australian government. You need to be under 45 years, score at least 65 in the points test. You should have relevant skill and experience in one of the in demand occupation as per the Australian skilled occupation list. You must get a positive skill assessment report for your nominated occupation.
3. Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)-
Under this visa, applicants must be nominated by an Australian state or territory. You must have the required proficiency in English language. Remaining criteria are the same as subclass 189.
4. Subclass 491 Visa-
To apply under this category, applicant must be either nominated by a state or territory government or must be sponsored by an eligible relative. Your occupation must be on the skilled occupation list and be invited to apply. You must get a positive skill assessment report for your nominated occupation. You need to be under 45 years, score at least 65 in the points test and have the required proficiency in English language
5. Business Innovation and Investment program-
Under this program you can either start or manage an existing business in Australia. You need to possess required net worth and must have the potential to invest a required amount for any business in Australia. You should also be nominated from a state or territory government agency or Austrade
6. Global talent scheme-
To secure a visa under the Global Talent Visa program, the aspiring immigrant needs to be highly skilled in one of the 7 specific tech sectors which in future will contribute to the upheaval and transformation in Australia’s economy by transferring international skills and creating more jobs in Australian market. You must be nominated by a recognized organization or an individual who will validate and endorse your talent on a global platform.
